Are you a medical professional, student, or other individual searching for a volunteer position in your community?  Read on!

Please review our current volunteer needs below.  If you don't see your area of interest, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator.  We are very thankful for all of our volunteers and the services they provide.

For more information about volunteer opportunities and placement, please contact Kim at kim.sirridge@gmail.com.  We look forward to hearing from you.

A large number of our patients are primarily Spanish speaking and require a translator during their visits to the clinic. If you are a certified medical translator, there are opportunities at Duchesne to work with patients and providers.
Our clinic services are made possible by the many volunteer providers who donate their time to see our patients both on and off site. If you are a medical professional who would like to help the uninsured by donating care, please consider volunteering at Duchesne.
You do not need to come to the  clinic to see our patients. We refer patients to specialists around the Kansas City area. Duchesne is a member of the WyJo Care Connection for specialist referrals in Wyandotte and Johnson Counties. Still, there are a number of specialties not covered within this referral network. If you would like to donate services to our patients from your own office, please let us know!

Welcome Students! Whether you are studying for your MD, DO, RN, NP, MA, or pharmacy degree, there may be a place for you at Duchesne. We are aware of local schools’ community health requirements, and would like to help you find a good fit. Our facility is small, but our services provide a wide variety of student experiences: shadowing Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Medical Assistants; learning about the Patient Assistance Program; counseling patients in our community health programs; and familiarizing yourself with a safety net clinic atmosphere. If you are interested in a volunteer internship at Duchesne, please let our volunteer coordinator know. We enjoy providing Kansas City area students with an experience that they will learn from, love...and come back to visit and volunteer!

And now for those of you interested in working at the clinic in another capacity. Our day-to-day business requires a number of hands… we can usually use more. Let us know if you have particular interests or skills that you would like to pursue at Duchesne.
